Mists of Pandaria kept a system that later versions removed, and it takes a cut every time you change your gear.
- ReforgingPaid per item, per change
- Reforging came back with MoP Classic, and it's the cost people forget to count. A new drop, a different set bonus, a new stat priority for a different fight: each one means paying to reforge again. Over a full set, a whole tier and a few alts, it adds up to a steady drain rather than a one-off purchase.
- Flasks and raid food70 to 120g a flask, every raid night
- Depending on your realm, Flask of the Earth and Flask of the Warm Sun cost 70 to 120g each. Siege of Orgrimmar keeps throwing burst phases and heavy raid-wide damage at you, so groups that cut corners on consumables pay for it. You buy these every raid night, not once per tier.

- A full, clean clear of Siege of Orgrimmar drops vendor trash worth about 700 to 1,200g. A night of progression wipes costs more than that in repairs and consumables. Once the gold runs out, players skip enchants and flasks, and the raid stops making progress.
