Token tracker
WoW Token Price in Every Region
See what a Token sells for in gold in each region right now and how that price has moved over the past month. Then check how much gold a dollar gets you, the number that tells you whether one is worth buying.
What sets the WoW Token price in gold
The gold price isn't Blizzard's call. A player buys a Token from Blizzard's shop for a fixed cash amount and puts it up on the auction house, where it sells at whatever rate the market is clearing right then. Whoever buys it pays in gold and receives thirty days of game time or Battle.net balance for other purchases. A listing sells at the price shown and can't be pulled once it's up, so most players look at a tracker before they list or buy.
Two forces push the number in opposite directions. Supply grows as more players pay cash for Tokens and put them up for sale. You see that when gold is hard to come by, or during a shop promotion that makes Battle.net balance attractive, and the extra listings drag the gold price down. Demand grows as more players trade their gold for game time or balance. That peaks at content launches and around subscription renewals, and the extra buyers lift the price.
Those two seldom line up, so the price drifts instead of heading one way. One reading says little; thirty days of readings say much more. Blizzard's own API only reports the figure for this moment and can't look back, so the chart on this page is drawn from a history kept by an open tracker, described below.
Retail Tokens and Classic Tokens don't mix
A retail Token and a Classic Token are unrelated: separate shop items, separate auction houses and separate prices that don't follow each other. Blizzard's Classic Token works on Classic Era and MoP Classic only. It doesn't apply to Anniversary or TBC realms, Season of Discovery, Hardcore or Season of Mastery, and those versions have no Token of any kind, so the Token-or-gold question doesn't come up there at all.
Compare gold per dollar, not gold per Token
A bigger gold number on one card doesn't make that region a worse deal, because each region pays a different cash price for the Token to begin with. Divide the auction house price by what the shop charges and you get gold per dollar. Every card above shows it, and it's the one figure that compares fairly between regions, between game versions, or with any other way of getting gold.
How this tracker gets its data
Figures from wowtoken.app
An open, public tracker. It has logged the Token's price at twenty-minute intervals since 2015. Its figures appear here as reported, with no adjustment on our side.
Why not Blizzard's API
Blizzard's Game Data API gives the current price and nothing older. A chart based on it would begin on the day we first asked, which is no history at all.
One market per region
Europe, Korea, Taiwan and the Americas each trade Tokens separately, at a price of their own. Tap a card at the top to switch region.

Questions and answers
What does a WoW Token cost in gold today?
There is no fixed figure to quote. The gold price is set by the auction house, not by Blizzard, and it shifts all day: on one side are players who paid cash for Tokens and listed them, on the other are players spending gold on a month of play or on Battle.net balance.
Each region's current reading is on its card at the top of this page. Before you decide anything, read the gold-per-dollar line on that card rather than the raw gold amount.
Do US and EU players see the same Token price?
They don't. Each region trades Tokens in a market of its own, with its own buyers and sellers, so on any given day the US and Europe can be a long way apart. The retail Token and the MoP Classic one are priced apart from each other as well. Check only the region and game version you play; the other numbers won't help you.
Should I get a Token or buy gold instead?
For retail, it changes from day to day. The comparison box under the chart takes today's Token price and sets it beside what the same money gets at the lowest retail gold rate on this site. If the Token comes out ahead, the box tells you so.
There is nothing to compare on Hardcore, Season of Mastery, Season of Discovery, TBC or Anniversary realms, since those versions have no Token. Classic Era and MoP Classic use a separate Classic Token from Blizzard; look in the shop to confirm which one covers your realm.
What makes the Token price go up and down?
Two pressures work against each other. When gold costs a lot, or Blizzard runs a shop promotion, more players pay cash for Tokens and list them, and the extra listings drag the gold price down. Near content launches and when subscriptions come up for renewal, more players want to swap gold for game time or balance, and that demand pulls it back up. The price lands wherever the two balance out, so it rarely holds still.
Can a Token turn my gold into real money?
No. Spending gold on a Token gets you game time or Battle.net balance, and that balance only goes toward Blizzard products. None of it can be withdrawn to a bank account.
Who sells the WoW Token?
Blizzard. It is their own product: a player buys it with real money in Blizzard's shop, then lists it for gold on the auction house. This page doesn't sell Tokens. It tracks their price and lines it up against gold offers so you can compare the two.
