WoW TBC Gold: how this market works
Burning Crusade content since January 2026 and economies that are still young: on the Anniversary realms, a little gold stretches a long way. Every one of the 3 realms has live offers above, and Dreamscythe is the cheapest today. Each rate is set by the seller who listed it.
Prices here sit somewhere between vanilla's scarcity and TBC's inflation. Epic flying training at 70 drained a large amount of gold from the economy, and each new raid tier, now up to Black Temple and Mount Hyjal, revives demand for consumables, so prices swing from one week to the next more than on other versions.
Classic gold stays where it lands: it does not cross to another version or to another Classic realm, and there is no Warband Bank to carry it. Choose the realm and faction your character plays, and each offer shows its full price before you continue.
Typical purchases
- Artisan Riding, 5,000g — a cost every TBC character eventually faces
- Netherwing dailies — rep items and repair bills
- Raid consumables — 150–300g per raid night
What gold pays for on Anniversary realms
Outland opened to the Anniversary realms in January 2026. Phase 3 has been live since August 27, 2026, with Black Temple, the Battle for Mount Hyjal, Netherwing dailies and Arena Season 3, and Zul'Aman is announced for October 22. Nearly every gold decision here still comes back to one cost.
- Artisan Riding (epic flying)5,000g training; the mount is about 200g more
- Training is 5,000g, flat. Reputation won't bring it down: faction discounts cover regular riding training, while Expert and Artisan Riding get none. For one character that means many hours of farming, and that's before you buy a single flask. On these realms, this is the cost that sends most players looking to buy gold.
- Raid-week consumablesHundreds of gold per raider, every week
- A full raid week across Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, Black Temple and Mount Hyjal costs each raider hundreds of gold: flasks, guardian and battle elixirs, buff food, potions, sharpening stones and weapon oils. Zul'Aman adds one more raid to the week once it opens.
- Gems, enchants, attunementsNever quite finished
- Almost every TBC slot wants a gem and an enchant, and each upgrade means buying both again. Attunement chains bring smaller costs of their own in repairs, travel and reagents, all before you set foot in the raid.
- Netherwing reputationRepairs and rep items
- Reaching 310% flight through Netherwing takes weeks of dailies. Along the way you pay for reagents, repairs and auction-house buys, and almost nobody plans for that spending in advance.
What Anniversary and TBC players buy gold for
Epic flight comes first
Without it you gather slower, show up later to raid invites, take longer over dailies, and can't start the Netherdrake chain at all. On these realms 5,000g isn't a treat. It is what separates you from playing the expansion at a normal pace.
Gold loses value as a phase goes on
The same gold buys noticeably more when a phase opens than when it closes. These economies are young and still inflating fast, so timing matters here in a way it barely does on other versions.
Raiding dry gets noticed
Black Temple and Hyjal punish groups that skip consumables. The one raider without flasks stands out, wipe after wipe.
Every alt pays full price
Each character needs its own 5,000g. If you play two or three of them seriously, riding training alone comes to 10,000 to 15,000g.

How this storefront works
Prices from the catalog
Every rate and every starting price is read from the sellers' catalogs when the site is built. None of them is typed in by hand.
Nothing listed, nothing shown
When no seller offers a realm or a service, the page says not on sale right now instead of showing a number.
The seller before you click
Every gold offer names its seller, the stock behind it and the delivery time before you continue.
Checkout with the seller
The order is placed and paid on the seller's own site, and the gold or the service goes to your character in game.
Questions and answers
What does WoW TBC Gold cost right now?
The rate differs by realm, since each realm is its own market. Right now, Dreamscythe is the cheapest and Maladath the dearest. Every rate in the list above comes from the seller who posted it.
Where is TBC Classic gold cheapest?
Right now, Dreamscythe is the cheapest listed. That only helps if you play there, because Classic gold stays on the realm it is delivered to, so the rate that counts is your own realm's.
Can TBC Classic gold be moved to another WoW version?
No. Each version runs its own economy with its own characters, and nothing carries TBC Classic gold out of it: not a transfer, not a token, not a trade.
What do I need to give the seller?
The character that receives the gold, its realm and its faction, plus an email for the receipt. Gold is delivered to a character, so nothing beyond that is needed.
How is WoW gold delivered?
By in-game mail or in a face-to-face trade, whichever the offer lists. Larger amounts are often split into several hand-offs, and each offer shows its delivery time before you continue.
What if the gold does not arrive in the time shown?
Write to support with the order number. The refund page explains how missed and partial deliveries are handled.
