From Orgrimmar to Highmountain and back

Ji Firepaw at the Orgrimmar Embassy hands out the first quest, A Feast for Our Kin. The recruitment then spends sixteen steps among the Highmountain tribes before the story returns to the embassy. There, Together We Are the Horde! closes the chain: Ji Firepaw takes the turn-in, the Thunderhoof is yours, and the Highmountain tauren open up as a race for new characters.

The mount journal frames the moose as a present from the tauren, who trained this sure-footed animal to cross the trails and summits of Highmountain.

Who can order a Highmountain Thunderhoof carry

Only Horde characters. The Alliance has no way to the Thunderhoof, so the order needs a Horde character of level 40 or higher, and that is the whole requirement today.

What changed in patch 10.1.5

Before 10.1.5 the recruitment was locked behind Exalted reputation with the Highmountain Tribe and the achievement Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Both conditions were removed, and level 40 is enough now. The recruitment quests can be completed once per account.

Highmountain Thunderhoof boost: the order itself

One product, one fixed price, nothing to configure: the Thunderhoof, which is a ground mount. When you pay, we hand the questline to one of our boosters. Want a second Horde allied race mount? The Zandalari Direhorn comes from the Zandalari troll recruitment. The mounts section has the rest of our catalog.

Highmountain Thunderhoof carry: before you buy

Which quest rewards the Highmountain Thunderhoof?

Together We Are the Horde!, the final step of the Highmountain tauren recruitment, turned in to Ji Firepaw.

Where do I pick up the first quest?

At the Orgrimmar Embassy, where Ji Firepaw offers A Feast for Our Kin.

Is Highmountain Tribe reputation still required?

No. Since 10.1.5 the Exalted requirement and Ain't No Mountain High Enough are gone; any Horde character from level 40 qualifies.

Can an Alliance character get it?

No, the Thunderhoof is Horde only.

Does finishing it also unlock the Highmountain tauren?

Yes. The last quest opens the Highmountain tauren at character creation.
