WoW arena coaching: you play, the coach steers

Coaching is time with a high-rated arena player whose only job is to make you better. Nobody else touches the character. The matches are rated and real, you are the one playing them, and the advice comes while they unfold. Hours are sold one at a time for two-a-side or three-a-side arena, and four coach levels are on offer.

What gets fixed in a session

Since the coach watches your real matches, the first target is the habit that costs you the most games. These are the areas listed for the service:

  • Where to stand against each comp, and what to do once the other team chooses you as the kill target.
  • Cooldown trades: when to press a defensive, when to sit on it, and how to tell what the enemy still has left.
  • Switching targets, and a game plan for every matchup.
  • The set-up of your spec, from regular and PvP talents to macros and addons.
  • Choices made under pressure, gone through one match at a time.

Choose the bracket

WoW 2v2 Arena Coaching

A two-player team has little room to hide an error, and far less is happening on screen. That turns 2v2 into a good school for a class that is new to you in arena, for the habits you will want later in 3v3, or for tightening things up with the partner you usually queue with.

WoW 3v3 Arena Coaching

Three-a-side is where Gladiator is earned and where arena is judged. With three on each side, teamwork takes over: who gets the pressure, when to switch, how to answer the cooldowns of the team across from you.

How the hours are used

Open by describing your bracket, your comp and the mistake that keeps coming back, and set one goal for the hours ahead. Then the games start, with comments as they happen. Times are agreed with you, and a bought block can be split over several evenings.

Picking the coach level

The base price buys a Multiglad coach, someone with several Gladiator seasons behind them. A Rank 1 coach has finished first on a season ladder; a Tournament coach plays in organised competition; a Celebrity coach is a player the arena scene knows by name. Those three levels each add a surcharge. Unless you already play in the highest brackets, the Multiglad level is usually enough. You will also be asked for your rating band: give the one you are in now, not your target.

Coaching or an arena carry?

With coaching the finishing number depends on you. A boost works the other way round: you buy the rating itself, in 3v3, 2v2 or Solo Shuffle, and both team brackets let you play along in self-play. When Gladiator is what you are after, look for Becoming Gladiator on the Gladiator boost page: self-play arena hours with Rank 1 or Tournament teammates, with a session type that bundles in a pair of coaching hours.

Lessons that pay off in gear

Honor and Conquest are the currencies behind PvP gear, and both arrive faster at a higher rating. So every step coaching adds to your rating also speeds up your next upgrades. A badly geared character can take a PvP gear boost before the lessons, leaving the coaching hours for your actual play.

Arena coaching questions

Does arena coaching promise a higher rating?

No promise of a number comes with it: the coach improves your play, and the result is what you make of that. If a fixed rating is the point, buy a rating carry.

Will the coach log in to my character?

Never. Every match is yours and the help comes live; piloted play and remote control are not part of this service.

How many hours can one order hold?

Between one and ten, and each hour is priced separately. The hours can be used across several sessions.

Is the coaching spoken or written?

Your choice. Sessions run over voice or as text only; tell us which suits you when we get in touch about the first one.

Will the advice fit my class and spec?

Yes. Name your class, spec and the problem you want solved, and every suggestion about talents, macros or addons starts from there.

What happens after checkout?

We message you on live chat or Discord, agree on times and goals, and pair you with a coach at the level you chose.

Who gets the most out of arena coaching?

Anyone stuck at a rating who cannot see the reason, anyone new to arena or trying a fresh class there, and players who would rather earn their rating by hand and hold on to it. When the number or the title is all you want, a carry is faster.

What should be ready for the first session?

A character at maximum level that can enter rated arena, a decision on bracket and spec, and the rating band you will enter at checkout.
