Rated battlegrounds are where PvP turns into a team sport. Ten players form a group, enter the queue as one, and fight on battleground maps for a rating that has nothing to do with arena. Games are decided by objectives, holding bases or capturing flags, more than by kills, so the team needs someone calling targets, someone guarding nodes and someone running the flag, all in the same minute. With an RBG boost, also known as an RBG carry, your character takes a slot in a group like that and is played up to the number you choose.
Arena needs a partner or two. A rated battleground needs nine other people online at the same hour and agreeing on one plan. Plenty of players can handle their own role and simply lack nine reliable teammates. A rated battleground carry closes exactly that gap: team, shot-calling and strategy are delivered together with the order.
This option reaches every bracket. A booster signs in to your account and plays the character inside the team, so you can stay offline the whole time.
With self-play you log in yourself, get invited to the team and take part in every match. Remote control has a booster play from your computer through a remote session. Both stop short of the summit, and the price table marks the last bracket each one covers.
You pay for the distance from where you stand now to where you want to finish. Early brackets pass quickly and cost little; each step near the summit costs more, because the opposing teams there are much stronger. Sum the table rows from your start to your target, include the base fee printed below, and you have the cost at normal speed.
A character not yet equipped for the climb can get PvP gear in the same order: Honor pieces early on, Conquest pieces or a best-in-slot set once the ladder gets steep. Two more extras sit beside them, full sockets and the weekly PvP quests. Pick the Rank One team option and every teammate in the group has finished Rank 1 in several seasons. Faster speeds, Express and Super Express, lift the order higher in our queue.
Each rated match rewards both PvP currencies, and those rewards grow with rating. The higher an RBG carry climbs, the quicker the character's gear comes together, and ticking the weekly quests piles on even more. Everything earned in the process stays yours to spend on the pieces you want.
The biggest prize of this mode is a name, not a number. A Horde character that closes a PvP season among the best 0.5% of the RBG ladder, with 50 victories that season, earns Hero of the Horde, and the same placing on the Alliance side earns Hero of the Alliance. Because it rewards a placing rather than a rating, nothing is settled until the season closes, and the outcome hinges on where everyone else ended up. A rating order ends at your goal, so each title is sold separately, on the class of your choice: see our Hero of the Horde boost or our Hero of the Alliance boost.
Blitz is rated battleground play for a single player: eight per side, quicker games, plus a ladder and a title, Strategist, that belong to it. Our Blitz rating carry is priced bracket by bracket, just like RBG.
Rather play in a team of three? Our 3v3 carry earns the same two currencies, unlocks the arena ranks on the way to Gladiator, and can be played as self-play through the lower and middle part of its ladder.
Checkout done, we assign the team and open the order chat. Self-play sessions are arranged there, and every step up the ladder is reported in the same place.
You give the starting rating, the goal and how the games should be played, and you pay at checkout. Our group then queues with your character until the goal is met, and each step is posted in the order chat.
There are three. A booster can play it on your account all the way to the top; self-play and remote control cover the lower and middle ladder, with the cut-off points marked in the price table.
It does not need any. Honor pieces for the early brackets, or Conquest pieces and the best-in-slot set for later ones, can be added and are handled in the same order.
All of your teammates are players with Rank 1 finishes in several seasons. The option is charged as a percentage and makes most sense high on the ladder.
No. Rated battlegrounds take premade groups only. The rated battleground mode open to a single player is Battleground Blitz.
In rated battlegrounds a ten-player premade fights for the Hero titles. Blitz is a solo queue, eight per side, with faster games, a separate ladder and the Strategist title.
Ending the PvP season among the best 0.5% of the RBG ladder, with 50 victories in that season. Alliance players who achieve this are named Hero of the Alliance instead.
No. The rating order ends at the number you set, while each Hero title is awarded from the closing leaderboard of the season. Each one is sold as a separate order.
No, it varies. The gain is different every game, because it depends on how the ratings of the two teams compare.
It comes down to the number of brackets and their height. Low ones go by fast, while every victory near the summit takes real effort. Paying a percentage for Express or Super Express moves the order forward.
