Blitz in a few lines

Blitz is rated battleground play at speed: eight against eight, quick matches, and a ladder kept apart from every other mode. You sign up alone and the game builds both sides from whoever is queuing. That is the big difference from rated battlegrounds, where a full premade group enters the queue together.

How a Battleground Blitz boost works

Name your current Blitz rating and your target, and the order covers every bracket in between at the prices shown in the table. Then pick a way to play from the options on this page, a speed and any gear. We assign a booster, who reports each bracket cleared in the order chat.

Three speeds for a Blitz carry

At normal speed the order waits its turn in our regular queue. Paying a percentage moves it forward: Express jumps ahead, Super Express jumps furthest, and the options table shows what each costs.

PvP gear and extras in one Blitz order

For the early brackets Honor pieces are enough, while Conquest pieces suit the climb once it gets serious; the list also carries a best-in-slot PvP kit. Two more extras sit next to the gear: Full Sockets and Weekly PvP Quests. Rating and gear help each other here: a higher Blitz number pays Conquest faster, and stronger pieces make the upper brackets easier to keep once you are back at the keyboard.

The Strategist title

Blitz awards one season title, Strategist, given for 25 rated wins earned at Elite. Rating orders stop at the goal and leave those wins out, so the title is bought as an order of its own.

Blitz or rated battlegrounds

Ten-player premade play, rated battlegrounds, is where the two faction titles are earned, and each comes as a separate order: Hero of the Alliance for Alliance characters, Hero of the Horde for Horde ones. If what you want is rated battleground play without gathering a group, Blitz is the mode designed for exactly that.

Battleground Blitz carry questions

How does Blitz compare with rated battlegrounds?

Rated battlegrounds are entered by a premade group of ten. Blitz pits eight against eight, everyone signs up alone, matches are shorter and the ladder is separate, so there is never a group of ten to assemble.

Will Blitz rating speed up my PvP gear?

Yes. Every Blitz match pays Honor and Conquest, which is what PvP gear is bought with, and Conquest arrives quicker the higher the number. Pushing the ladder therefore speeds up your gear as well.

Is Strategist part of a Blitz rating order?

No. Rating orders close the moment the goal is hit. Strategist wants 25 victories at Elite, so it is bought separately, and its price depends on the Blitz rating you start from.

Which gear option suits my character?

A character with almost nothing for PvP should begin with Honor pieces. One aiming high, or already dressed in the Honor set, gets more from Conquest gear.

Can I add sockets or the weekly PvP quests?

Yes. Full Sockets and Weekly PvP Quests are both listed as extras on the Blitz order, next to the gear choices.
